We did the hop on hop off bus trip in Vilnius and it was a good way to see the city. The city isn't huge and it is walkable but being taken around on the bus with commentary is a good way to start exploring - and in a freezing cold February it's a slightly warmer way to do it.... More

Brilliant tour with very knowledgable guide, Julia, who spoke impeccable English and is very well-informed about every aspect of Vilnius, Trakai, Trakai Castle and about Lithuania.

Vilnius, the baroque beauty of the Baltic, is a city of immense allure. It easily tops the country’s best-attraction bill, drawing tourists like moths to a flame with an easy, confident charm and a warm, golden glow that makes you wish for long midsummer evenings every day of the year. The capital may be a long way north and east,... More

A bus from Vilneus is necessary unless you have a car. Trakai is a small community built on a peninsula. The houses have a quaint and unique style (and are protected by a preservation order). A walk through the village offers many photograph opportunities. Good choice of eateries but I would recommend buying one of the little pasties native to... More

A very good experience. I decided to join the tour directly on Cathedral Square in Vilnius - I bought the tour without castle entrance and guide. On the minibus, we were informed about several aspects of Lithuanian life and Trakai castle. The guide was extremely competent and clear. Once in Trakai, I went sightseeing by myself, including buying an entrance... More

We signed up for this tour through the front desk at our hotel. There were two tours listed one for 34 EUR and one for 20 EUR per person. We were told that the tour company would pick us up and drop us off at the hotel and that the cheaper tour included an audio guide. We signed up for... More

This tour company was just near our hotel, and we walked by it several times. We knew we wanted a tour of Jewish history that included the massacre fields at Paneriai, so we stopped in and were able to schedule a private tour for the next day without any delay. The morning of our tour it was raining, so we... More

I was visiting in Vilnius on last week of June and went to a guided tour to Trakai. There were two small groups in a minivan. One with Russian-speaking guide and another in English for me and two other clients. Our guide Viktorija was very charming, cheerful and interested in talking and exchanging thoughts with us about the history and... More
