If there is a better deal going, show me! For 2 euros you are treated to a complete and concise history of Lithuania. It details with great precision all aspects of Lithuania's long, colorful and turbulent history. While there is a heavy focus on religion due to Lithuania's dedication to the Roman Catholic Church, all other areas are well detailed... More

Our visit to the national musuem was interesting, we learned a lot about Lithuanian history, but that requiered lots of reading. It would have been better with more signs and more interactive and exciting exhibitions and texts.

I went to visit the museum last month and i was quite impressed with it , I didn't expect that it has such a lot of staff to see and in detail as well but i was wrong, it is really something unique . It has alot of Paintings in it too !!! I spent between 1 and 2 hours... More

It helps to read some Lithuanian history in Wikipedia or a guidebook before delving into this compact but fascinating collection. Elements of the complicated chronology of Lithuania, the famous rulers (Mindaugas, Gediminas, Vytautas) of this once immense state, its union with Poland, and the many powers that coveted it (Teutonic Knights, Tsars, Napoleon, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Nazis, Soviets) can be... I wasn't expecting much before the visit, but I was really impressed. I spent around 2 hours looking at the exhibitions. Really interesting and worth visiting.

This is an interesting and eclectic museum. I was expecting more of a chronology of the country, but there were many interesting artifacts from all over, not just Lithuania.

it was hot outside so we spent a little over an hour visiting this museum since entrance fee was inexpensive. Two floors and several exhibits with very few visitors. We had no knowledge of Lithuanian history but it was interesting to see the exhibits and try to guess at the events and history. This was our first day of 12... More

Would probably be a bit more interesting if you know a bit more about Lithuanian history. Not too good if you want to learn from scratch. Before you go, pick up a couple of quick books and scratch up on Lithuanian history and you'd probably have a better experience. The "without a homeland" exhibition however, educates the visitor on an... More
