There are a bunch of different museums that are all part of the National Museum. However, they all have separate tickets and cost different amounts, which isn't incredibly clear if you happen to stumble into a random one of them first. Restrooms in archaeological museum...More

This museum is interesting if you have the time, but make sure you go to the Palace of the Grand Dukes FIRST. It is much more interesting, exciting and cointans more information than this museum. This museum worked mostly as killing 90 minutes before dinner...More

This is a small but interesting museum with a lot of historical artefacts on display. The entrance fee is so low (3€) that you just can't pass without visiting. And I love the fact that you can leave your coat at the dressing room.

The best thing about this place is the almost 360-degree view you will get from the city, there's a limited exposition and a historical video introduction about Lithuania and Latvia, it's short but enough to give you a glance about the history of these two...More

It’s not as big as anybody would expect from a “national” museum but still it’s interesting, especially the exhibitions in the second floor, where folk art and cross art of Lithuania is presented. Maybe the audio guide could be helpful since it could add some...More

Some really interesting things in here but fails to tell the story of Lithuanian history which is a shame. Nevertheless, it is very charming and the staff was pleasant.

This is a big museum but, as someone with zero knowledge of Lithuanian history, I found it difficult to follow and it didn't tell the story of Lithuania as such.
