Located on the southeast of Vilnius city center, this structure is within walking distance from the Gates of Dawn. You could see a downhill view of the eastern part of Vilnius city. A nice structure with a good view.

For us this was quite a walk and if you then get there we found it not so special. But it was getting cold and windy so could be part of it. Bit of a let down after the city centre.

I really enjoyed these place because it was ice weather and we did not need too much time to climb there, and enjoy the beautiful view, it is also nice to see Vilnius at night.

Artillery Bastion is situated at Boksto 20/18 and is on the edge of the Old Town. Constructed as part of the city defences in the 17th century. Worth a visit.

This is a great bastion, or city defense wall. It's nicely preserved and restored where necessary. Certainly worth a visit while in Vilnius!

Great large bastion along what was the city wall of Vilnius. The bastion is in a very large park on the edge of the old town and has many paths through out the park. The bastion overlooks the Vilnia River.

It is a museum that you can visit, but it is also a great place to just walk around and you get a chance to see the part of the city wall. There is a good view of the old town also and you can then walk down the hill to visit a number of sites close by.

The Bastion was recently reconstructed and was part of the defensive wall of Vilnius. It is nice to take a walk around and look the panorama over the city and the Three Crosses monument in the near hill. Nothing very special here but deserves a visit if you have time. You can visit it by a short detour from Ausros... More

It is a beautiful place, but if you are in a hurry, don't waste your time on it, you can visit it when you have plenty of time. I think Vilnius city council has to give some new life to this place, it seems sadly abandoned.

Without any doubt one of the must see of the city. Renewed but in full respect of the old style. Not easy to be found, it worths the difficulties!
