Impressive building, but this is now the Parliament so you cannot go in. Worth a walk round when you are in the area, but only worth a few minutes time really.

Many facets to this building. Baroque and pink to the front. Three corner Towers one of which flies the Estonian Flag. Sits on the site of the original 12 th century castle, which no longer exists.

There is a great view from the outside of the parliament buildings in a variety of directions, and the buildings occupy the same square as the adjacent church

Some locals refer to the style as a wedding cake. There are excellent views from up here and the interior of the building is open to the public. There is... More

This medieval castle atop Toompea Hill was constructed in the 9th century, meaning the AD800s. Danish crusaders took over the castle in 1219. It was subsequently enlarged and became part of the City Wall. The sheer history of this intriguing building makes it a must-see. An advantage of this location is that Toompea Hill offers at no cost astounding views... More

This castle is situated at the top of Toompea Hill. A slow walk up the hill from Freedom Square should not take more than 20 minutes. The castle now houses the Parliament of Estonia. When Estonia was under the administration of the Soviet rule – the castle was converted into a palace with Baroque architecture. It is a beautiful pink... More
