Obviously the grounds were empty when we visited. History of grounds interesting. Seems very suitable venue for concert.

The theater does not look like much but it is very impressive. The acoustics are very good. It played a very important role in the independence from Russia in 1988. Several thousand people sang and danced the national music that was banned by the communist.

Before visiting this place, make sure you read up on The Singing Revolution. This was the beating heart of non-violent protest and revolution, a shining example to us all to prove that violence is not the answer and that freedom is possible through positive action....More

Try to visit this place when there is Estonian Song Festival next time - Jul 5, 2019 – Jul 7, 2019. You will be amazed! I promised you have not seen anything compared to this - huge crowd of people singing together!

Located away from Old Town. Site of the Tallinn Song Festival. Stage was built in 1960 & holds 30,000 performers, while an audience of 100,000+ sits on the grass. The Festival is held every 5 years -- the next is in 2019.

If not taking a guided tour, read about the "Singing Revolution" before visiting the site. The 30,000-person stage filled with local singers (it is reportedly a crime to sing off-key in Estonia!) inspired the nation to seek independence from the Soviet Union.

Num amplo espaço geográfico, como se fosse um imenso jardim, existe uma concha acústica que possibilita a edição de festivais de canção que ocorrem periodicamente. Vale a pena conhecê-lo !!!
