From here you get a really nice view of the city. It is a nice walk to walk up the hill from the city centre.

Enjoy the few good views and panoramic outlook from there. Find a good time slot where the sun is behind you so the view is way better then.

It is well worth walking up here from the old town for the fantastic views over Tallin and to visit the orthodox cathedral and the lutheran church. Lots of places to eat, lots of little shops, and Toompea castle itself is worth a visit

Reasonable walk up the hill which was well rewarded at the top with a Palace, Cathedral, church, interesting embassy buildings, quaint streets and two wonderful views over Tallinn in different directions.

Visited here while on an excursion from a cruise ship. Time was limited due to the guided tour limitations. The area includes beautuful churches, the Parliament building and other interesting houses and structures with interesting architecture.

There are several ways to walk up the hill. Lots to see: the cathedral, parliament building (open Friday mornings for English tours), exquisite homes (now embassies). The Danish Garden behind the cathedral has best views of Tallinn. Go into cafe and climb to top for...More

This is the diplomatic district for Tallinn Estonia - a very mini Washington D.C. or Whitehall. Many beautiful embassies, nice boutique shops, a fantastic high-level view of old and new Tallinn from the Old City Walls - and. of course, one of the most inspiring...More

There are actually a few ways up, but they are all steep and some involve stairs. I would take the road not the stairs, the ones I stumbled on to walk up are not only steep, they are uneven. Start in Freedom Square and... More

You could take a cab from old town and ask them to drop you at the crossroad of Toompea and Falgi Tee street. You still have to walk about 400 metres from this junction. The first 50 metres will be slightly hilly but the... More
