Really rather enjoyed this museum when I visited with my husband. The ground floor and basement levels were a little disjointed, random military/weapons and pottery. But the upstairs 2 floors gave a really good insight into how Tallinn grew from its earliest beginnings to the...More

It had something for everyone! There was history of rifles, ships and life. Even a display of junk from each century.

Visit cost us 4€ pp (adult ticket) and was worth it- as a local I didn't realise there's a very decent amount of artefacts to see! A nice range of cultural heritage from medieval times to Soviet Union era. I personally was stunned by the...More

The museum spans on a couple of floors and offers a wide span of monuments showcasing the history of Tallinn (and Estonia). Well worth seeing and learning things you might not have been aware of earlier.

The building the museum is housed in is charming and is chock full of history. There is a lot of interesting stuff to see and the art docents provide further insights into Estonian culture. Refresh with a cappuccino in the top floor café.
