The square is exactly what you would expect. The architecture is interesting and typical of northern Europe. There are a number of restaurants that are expensive and they employ people to tempt customers. They are easy to avoid. There are interesting streets that lead off from the square, and generally any where you want to go to can be accessed... More

Town Hall Square has several bars and restaurants to chose from. There is also interesting shopping in the area both directly in the square and in the side streets around the square. I missed going into Town Hall as it is open only during the summer months.

The open square is surrounded on three sides with inviting shops and restaurants. Despite it being spring, it was quite cold, even snowy in Tallinn, but heated open air restaurants were popular for many people.

There is nothing better, then taking the sunbath with a cup of coffee in early spring and watching people passing by. Thet tourist from all over the world are taking selfies, talking loud and it is a perfect moment to write postcards to your friends. I myself live in Tallinn but I not in old town. Going to old town... More

It looks like an old northern European town square minus the church. In one of the side is a nice town hall. A good place to spend some time or to take a seat at the many specific restaurants and enjoy the view.

This is the absolute center of Tallinn Old Town. I remember the time when it was a bit run down and there were only a few decent restaurants, but during the last decades the entire Old Town has gone through a real face lift. Now there's a good selection of excellent restaurntant around the Town Hall sq. In the summer... More

It's a square, but it's not square in shape. Lots of touristy stuff around - souvenir shops, bars, etc. Not the craziest square in the world, but a square that you will encounter if wandering around in the area.

Spent the day wandering though the town square and exploring the streets off of it. Easy to access and lots of photo ops.

The town square is a must see in the Tallinn Old Town. Charming buildings and the famous Town Hall. Most of the restaurants are expensive there, so if it's not important for you to sit on the square, just walk to the nearby streets and save some money 😉
