One of the 37 towers in the defence wall around the Old Town . A good chance to imagine yourself as a town guard. A good place to enjoy photos of the past, climb the narrow stairs up and down the tower and feel happy to have a free wi-fi

We went only to the Bastion passages - you have to book time in advance! Well prepared guide with interesting stories :) The temperature inside is always about +5 degrees, so take some warm clothes!!!

Typical medieval bastion, where you will find a lot of information about the history of Tallinn. We had a tour underground and really enjoyed it.

The Tower museum has guides on all floors who will tell you about the exhibits. Very friendly, but the most interesting is the tower itself. The Bastion Passages require a reservation and are accessible with a guide. The length of them is impressive, but be prepared for steep stairs, walking and chill atmosphere. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable.

The main museum is okay - make it to the top of Kiek in de Kok for a fabulous views of Tallinn. The real treat is to take the Bastion Passages tour - about an hour. You learn about 250+ years of Tallinn history though the unique use of the tunnels over time. Good for all ages, don't miss it.

Just preorder Your tourtickets to Bastions. Tours are held tuesday to sunday. While at the museum, be sure to pay a visit to the top floor café where you can get beautiful Old Town views. Hot Summer days it is worth of visiting here and get some cooler feeling :)

This was a waste of money and time. The exhibition in the tunnels is poor. It is a limited space and there was too many of us. We could not fit into the "rooms" and therefore were not able to hear the guide. Which wasn't that bad after all. She bored me with her monotinic dialougue. Upom that she did... More

As told by our guide this is the meaning of "Kiek in de Kok". The tower got its name from the the guards in the town being able to look in the surrounding homes, by peering into the very large chimneys and seeing what the inhabitants are up to in there kitchens. A wonderful story to go with this historic... More

It's worth visiting this, especially as the wall is so well preserved, it feels like a large part of Tallinn's history. The Kiel in de Kok has some really interesting exhibitions, and even a cafe at the top! The tour of the passages was also interesting and the passages themselves are full of history.
