Original New York stage production directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins World premiere on September 22, 1964 at the Broadway Imperial Theatre. Excellent presentation and memorable roles. Theatre House is a small but well-beautiful. Good service and tasty coffee break.

Attending theatre is one of my great passions, the Estonian National Theatre did not disappoint! The staff are courteous, timely and efficient in their roles. Most helpful when it comes to clarifying language barriers. A truly lovely night, I look forward to returning when I am next in Estonia.

A small, traditional European opera house. The cast was almost entirely Estonian, not surprising in a country where singing is part of the national identity. Well performed; ironically the weak link in the otherwise local cast was the "imported" lead Italian tenor. Very good orchestra. And we had center orchestra (parquet) tickets for less than $20.

I make a point of going to the opera anywhere I travel. It's fun to see new houses and local audiences. This house is tiny, the seats squeak; and though the audience (almost all locals) was attentive, they did not seem very musically sophisticated. The productions are modest--obviously they do not have hundreds of thousands to spend on each production,... More

The opera has several programs during our visiting. It is recommend to book in advance as the ticket is sold fast.

A wonderful opera house, very well located within the city. As it is the case with most of the Baltic countries, they're in love with their performing arts, and Tallinn is no exception. The place was full for the showing of Sleeping Beauty, I could not see an empty seat here. Attire is semi formal, nothing too fancy, although they... More

My husband and I wanted to do something different on our trip to Tallin and we booked tickets to La Boheme at Estonian National Opera. It was a wonderful experience. For the first-timers in Opera, the tickets are very reasonably priced, front row tickets were under 30 euros each. We had pre-ordered the intermission snacks and cava, perfect as well.... More

The opera house is rather small, but very neat and beautiful, offering both a sense of festiveness and coziness. If you have the tickets for the 2nd balcony, I suggest using the 2nd balcony cloakroom which is located on the same floor as the 2nd balcony (you can take the elevator up). Much less hassle and allows for a much... More

This was my first time in ballet in the Estonian National Opera, but not last. We went to see Cinderella and I found the performance very good in many ways. In whole it was fresh and modern, romantic and funny. The theater is small so no one is far from the stage. People dress up and nicely, and all children... More
