Backpacking through the Baltics and in search of a good way to get a sense of the land and city that I knew so little about, it was important that we got on to the right tour. With an overwhelmingly high rating, the Free "Yellow" walking tour of Riga seemed to be the one to go with - and boy,... More

Our guide was Martin, who gave a great overview of lots of parts including the market halls with the blimp like roof! Witty and informative we certainly enjoyed the guide

This was a great tour which focussed on the real Riga, focussing on downtown, the market area, 'Stalin's Birthday Cake' and the Freedom Monument and much more. Our guide Martyn was fantastic! Very good way to spend 2.5 hours in Riga.

Edvards was a great guide on our Free Walking Tour of Riga that left from in front of St Peters Church. He was knowledgeable and very tactful given the nationalities in the large group. The tour included all of the main sites of interest and their background, and was a great way to identify those places we wanted to revisit... More

I'm really glad we joined this tour! It did not disappoint. Kaspars was a great tour guide - engaging, friendly, knowledgeable - it was so good to learn about the complicated history of Riga and I'm happy we escaped the old town. Highly recommended.

We chose this tour based largely on trip advisor reviews and were certainly not disappointed. The meeting point is at the front of St Peters Church - look for the battered yellow suitcase! Our guide was Kaspers (sorry if the spelling is incorrect!) and he kept a large group of us entertained and absorbed for 3hrs. As Kaspers explained this... More

This tour was absolutely great - off the touristic beaten track and straight into the real town and local life. Our guide Martin was great - opinionated, smart and funny. We truly enjoyed it and highly recommend.

If you want to see past Riga's tourist hotspots and understand more about the country's complicated history then this is for you. The guide, Kaspars, is funny, engaging and knowledgeable. He takes you from the old town to the suburbs, then back to the centre, giving great insight about Riga's history along the way. Be prepared for a lot of... More

We took part in this tour during quite a cold day in Riga but we did not have time to notice it as our guide Kaspers was sharing interresting information about the city, country and people. Tour is not for those who want to see just the old town of Riga but for those who like to know something more... More

This is the first time I have ever wanted to listen to anyone for this length of time. When we first met Casper (so?)I was worried his slightly fake Hollywood drawl could be irritating but I could not have been more wrong. He explained the accent was from learning English from the television and you soon forgot as he trotted... More
