Our last day in Riga and we wanted to see something of the Latvian countryside so decided on a day trip to Sigulda. Our wonderful guide, Helen, picked us up from our hotel and after collecting two other travellers we were off. Helen was very knowledgable and as we left Riga she pointed out places of interest and filled our... More

On a wet October afternoon, I was the only tourist who turned up for a tour with Tatjana, the guide. Nevertheless, we set off together for a fascinating two hour tour of the old town, during which she explained so much about the history and culture of her city. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and she was an excellent guide!

I loved this tour with Gunta. She is very enthusiastic about art and history. I didn't knew anything about art nouveau before but her interesting stories makes the tour interesting.

After having done similar Art Nouveau tours in Barcelana, Brussels and Viena, I highly recommend the walking tour I did in Riga. I did the tour with Gunta, and although it was a guided tour just for me, she explained so many things about the buildings and architects of this period and about Latvian and Riga history that I had... We arrived by cruise ship and walked directly to Smile Line in order to catch the 10 AM walking tour. Our guide was Tatjana B., who gave us a thorough overview of all the old town sites interspersed with informative commentary. Had plenty of time leftover to explore interiors on our own and to see the Art Nouveau area. Had... More

We were in Riga on a cruise ship and did a two hour walking tour with Smile Line. They are easy to find with their yellow umbrellas and scarves in the main square. For only 12 euros, we had a great tour around Riga. There were only six of us in the group and we loved our guide Inge. When... More
