We had a great time in Riga. A historical and beautiful city. With cobble stone streets and one that is so narrow i could touch the buildings on both sides. We also enjoyed a night at the opera

The old town of Riga is beautiful with lots of buildings to admire. But the food is quite expensive for being in Riga. But it's fun to stroll around the alleys and look at buildings and people. Remember to see you as you cross the road. Speaking of roads, all streets in the old town are cobblestone roads, with quite... More

We had a brief overnight stay in Riga on the way to Warsaw. We were pleased at the ease to get to the Old Town from the airport and the compactness of the area. We had a pleasant meandering walk through the beautiful streets. Much to see and do but even brief visits are worthwhile. I can't wait to return... More

It was a very good feeling to walk through the old buildings and stone paved road. You could "read" the history from different architectures.

Although is was very tourist orientated, the old town had a great atmosphere and is small enough to enjoy all of in one day

a day or two are enough to enjoy all the details of the old city form outside, if you like to try and all the restaurants - you need a lot of time.

The old city itself is easily navigated with signs directing you to all major sights. There are little coffee shops and smart bars scattered around all areas coupled with some fascinating stories attached to the historical buildings. There... More

Place is very pretty but you can tell it's been done up to show off to tourists. Prices are higher for most things and there are a lot of stag parties from the UK which almost make it feel like you are not on holiday. But all the same it's very nice and has lots of good places to eat
