Don't forget to visit both the old and the new City of Skagen. And maybe in reverse order of the mentioned. The new part of Skagen gives you shops, restaurants (go to the harbour for the best, fresh fish), potterys, icecream etc. The old part...More

The the town is very small it offers a lot. It is worth a day trip. Spend time on the beaches, enjoy the plethora of seafood selection, ice cream, and cafés. Take the train and enjoy the scenery.

I really enjoyed my visit to skagen. We only visited town two times but it was a pleasant experience both times. It feels like most other small danish cities but with a few more specialised boutiques such as hand blown glass stores. If you want...More

A quiet, picturesque small town. The houses are all in red or yellow. They all look similar, creating a sense of perfect harmony. A closer look will however reveal that many houses have their own special features - in the design of the windows, of...More

Hello Brian, It seems you visited Skagen while on a cruise. Was it difficult to get from your ship to the town? Any recommendations for travel arrangements? Taxi, bus, cruise liner bus? We expect to just explore the area without a formal tour group, however want to make sure we can get back to the ship without difficulty. Thank you! Dawn
