Lochmara Lodge Arts Centre is a unique facility where artists from around New Zealand create and showcase artwork in a variety of mediums. The centre comprises two indoor galleries, an 11-acre sculpture trail amidst native bush, an artists-in-residence studio, and regular workshops. Day trips include a boat cruise from Picton on the stunning Queen Charlotte Sound, and an optional walk on the Queen Charlotte Track. Wildlife Recovery Centre, cafe, and accommodation also on site.

Decided to take a one night detour while walking the queen charlotte track. Was a really good decision. What a fantastic place. Friendly staff. Awesome meals. If your feeling abit weary you have to try there hot tub to relax in with the fantastic view....More

The views were nice, free kayaks good but where is the wildlife? There was one species of bird in the native bird enclosure and after walking around we only saw one pig and a tame parrot that hangs out by the cafe on his perch....More
