I really liked the natural swimming pool down the street better . Limited food and drinks at snack shop. It's pretty here but lots of seaweed. Thought the swimming pool area had better swimming and actually was prettier.

So Sydney-siders are spoiled rotten for beaches but if you have any standards at all, Playa Ancon is a dump. Dirty sand. Cigarette butts. Loads of plastic trash in the water. Weed. And jelly fish - unswimmable. Forget Ancon.
