Finding these amazing waterfalls is not easy, as the starting point is not well marked. But once we achieved that, the walk was well marked. Due to the path being steep and rugged in places and it takes at least 50 minutes to reach the...More

This is great. This is why you come to Trinidad. Take a trip to the mountains Stop at the mirador that overlooks the seacoast, the city and looks up to the mountains. Continue on to the top and hike to the waterfall. It's a short...More

The walk down to the cascade is stunningly beautiful. We went there early with a taxi (50CUC return) and we were there practically alone for a good hour which was magic. I recommend taking a swimming suit as the swim in the natural pool is...More

Take the Russian army truck up into the mountains and walk to the waterfall and swim in the lake, its quite a long walk but well worth it. We are nearer 70 than 60 but still beat the youngsters on the walk!!!

We do quite a lot of walking - usually up and then down - so going down and then finishing on an 'up' was a change for us. A few things I wish I'd known before we started..... The walk is mainly through trees so...More

You get here by car in about an hour from Trinidad. The first part of the walk takes you downhill through the forest for about 45 minutes to a waterfall and a pool where you can swim. The descent is quite steep in places, so...More

Hi! My boyfriend and I are staying in Havana in March. Any advice on the best way to get to Trinidad from Havana? I am Mexican and speak Spanish fluently, so our first preference was to rent a car and drive there so we can set our own hours and make it a day trip. Are there horseback riding services that we should book this far in advanced? Hola!

I don't know about buses and travel from Havana or Varadero. I traveled to Salto de Caburni from Rafael Freyre, Holguin - with friends by their car.
