One of the main venues for live music and salsa. Open-air venue with most of the seating on amphitheatre-style steps. Also seating at café-style tables. Cover charge of 2 CUC. Drink prices are reasonable. Good music gets the salsa officionados on their feet. They also have other dance acts between bands. Toilets filthy (and subject to a charge) - this... More

This is something to do at night in Trinidad, as there's not much night life. The music is good and it's great for people watching sitting on the steps. Note there's a fee for this except if you sit on the very last row of the bottom steps.

Sadly, as a dancer, I was really disappointed in the venue. I have been 4 times over a number of years as it was world reknowned as the place to dance in Trinidad. With the opening up of the economy, venues are maximising profits so now the area to dance is so small. You could probably get 4 couples dancing... More

Trinidad is a city full of music. Everywhere you can hear the Cuban Music and you can see people dancing in the streets. But Casa de la Musica is one of the best places for Cuban Music and dance.

This is a very iconic salsa place in Trinidad and all people who dance salsa are gathering there. I was a bit surprised that not everyone was willing to dance there. A lot of tourists come and they want to see how others do, but they are not willing. I don't mean that it should be exclusively for people dancing... More

Incredible bands playing mesmerising music under the stars in a beautiful courtyard. This place could be touristy and expensive, instead admission is 1 cuc and cocktails the usual 3 cuc, meaning that tourists and expats mingle to create a great atmosphere. Musical events in Cuba are generally incredible experiences, but I will never forget the two exhilarating nights we spent... More

We went to Casa de la Musica during our 2nd night in Trinidad and might have been expecting something different or maybe we left too early? There was live music and performances, but it wasn't as upbeat as we would have liked and the place was packed with tourists. The whole spot is sectioned off of the stairs to the... More

There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere here during the day so it's a great place to stop off for a refreshing drink or two - and if you're lucky there'll be a band playing away. In the evening it can get packed so if you want to stay for a reasonably long time get there early to grab a chair -... More
