Wonderful authentic Cuban drumming and Afro-Caribbean dancing

I really enjoyed the shows and the fact that it was less crowded was a bonus. Being Congolese, it was really nice experience to see the similarities in the dance moves and instrument being used while in Cuba.

It gives a picture of the development of the music that defines Cuban music today. Very interesting and important for anyone interested in what makes Cuba special

This place is a special place. In Palenque Royals Congos people are in contact with African culture that exist in Cuba. There are also classes Rumba and percussion. It is a good choice for the night.

We loved our two evenings here. Amazing floor show, great music. We practiced our newly learned salsa while the warm-up band played, before the show. The dancing in the show was superb.

A very good trio was playing when we arrived, but the best thing was the show of african percussion and dance that came after that. We enjoyed it enormously.

eems that performances at the famous Casa De La Musica were not too exciting on the night we spent in Trinidad, so we entered the next club on the street - Palenque de los Congos Reales, and were thrilled with the music, the friendliness of the band and the atmosphere at the club. Entrance is 1 CUC (1 Euro) and... More

At 10 p.m. most nights, you can be treated to a special show - a line up of drumming and dancing, often folk music and dance for the price of only $1 (entry). Drinks are $1-3, not bad at all. A little smoky, so get there early (9) and get a good table for the first act. Following that, you... More

Our tour guide brought us here to try a local drink. Was nice to sit and listen to live music while getting to know people from the tour I was on. Would live to go back one day and check it out at night.
