It was wonderful. Food was great included gluten free options. Enjoyed unlimited cocktails, food great entertainment. Beautiful setting on the ocean and beautiful sunset

Kona Village Resort put on the best luau I've ever been to. Here's hoping the resort opens again soon. You can check out the Facebook page hosted by other guests like me... who found this the most wonderful resort in the world.

Make sure you call first - I think some of the recent reviews here are of the Kona Resort Luau, not the village luau, since they claim to not be running them due to damage sustained last year.

Sadly the Kona Village was damaged in the tsunami that hit the Big Island from Japan in spring 2011 and is closed until further notice. (as of Aug 2011). This is reputed to be the best luau on the island. The setting is very nice....More
