If you are in the area and do not take this drive you will be sorry. Even on a cloudy day the scenery is spectacular to see. If traffic builds behind you pull into a lay by and get out and enjoy the views. It...More

Interesting terrain and views, traffic not bad on a weekday (though I would be worried in leaf season.) The odd off-the-wall spot to pullover & explore. Hoosac Tunnel for rail fans. You can forget how different this trip can be from the Mass Pike! Lots...More

I love this roadway. Beautiful sites along the way. Can get very busy during foliage time. This is a take your time kind of trail. The photos I'm sharing is just one roadside attraction of many.

There is nothing prettier than seeing the spectacular fall foliage as you drive along the Mohawk trail. The other great thing is there are a lot of fun little stops along the way, the bridge of flowers, hail to the sunrise statue, etc. I wish...More

Drove the Mohawk Trail from Williamstown to Deerfield. The view at Western Summit was jaw dropping. Beautiful drive. Stop and see the Hail to thee Sunrise statue and the bridge of flowers in Shelburn Falls. Highly recommended.

The scenery in the fall sounds great. We plan to be there in early October (around 1st to 8th). Will we get to see good fall colors? Are the roads really busy with lots of other tourists or is the drive still enjoyable without too much traffic? Many thanks
