Stopped here with our bus group on our way back from New Orleans. This mansion is actually found in a neighborhood that was just common or seemed poor area. It was beautifully decorated and there was an old house behind it that we toured as...More

Found this house due to an Internet search on Mississippi Historic homes. Called to check on hours and spoke to a wonderful docent. Told her we were on the road coming to Merrehope for a visit. She planned on staying late to accommodate our group...More

The house is a gem, but the homes in the area are rough. The ladies that work in the home really know their history. It is worth seeing, but make sure you lock you car doors .
