I have been here many times before, usually during off-season when the canoeists are scarce. The stunning springs, the multi-hued transparent water, the watercress, the cliffs, the songbirds, etc. keep calling me back here. Explore as much of the National Park as you wish. There are historic mills, wild horses, waterfalls, and caves. You will find plenty of hospitable lodging... More

We only needed to visit this Park to complete all the Parks in Missouri. We were also interested in getting our Park stamps. Our first stop at Round Springs - the visitor's center was closed but we had a picnic lunch and took a walk nearby. The Round Springs Cave was closed in October but it was opened during the... More

We weren't sure what to expect with this park, but we were beyond impressed with all the different offerings. Big Spring, Blue Spring, and Round Spring were all amazing. We'll make a point to return someday.

In my opinion the biggest attraction of this natural jewel are the quantity of first magnitude (over 10.300 m3/h of water) springs located in this area, some of the water coming underground from as far as 85 kilometers). You can also find historical sites and caves, and of course the beauty of the Current and Jack Fork rivers. We did... More

If you're looking for a beautiful National Park with incredible beauty and serenity (depending on the timing of you visit) this is it! I went in November and I was one of the very few in the Park. I first visited the Park Office and viewed the rivers there. Then I drove over and visited Big Spring and was very... More

We didn't take it all in, there is so much to see and do. A good reason to return some day. Big Springs, Rocky Falls, Alley Spring and Mill, Blue Spring are some of the sites we seen along our way. Both the Current and the Jacks Fork rivers were the clearest, purest water I've ever seen in a river.... More

The park and camp sites along the Current River are beautiful. A great river to canoe and watch the amazing wildlife. I would put this place on a must see list and stay a while.

This National Park is a true treasure!! The features are seen either by auto tour, Ozark Trail, or best yet, floating the Jack's Fork or Current Rivers. This is truly the best of Missouri wilderness, and we are very lucky to have so much beauty in public hands, for future generations to enjoy. Coming soon will be a new state... More

The rivers in Shannon Co have got to be some of the best in the State of Missouri. Shared by locals and tourist alike. The respect for the waterway has come a long way. Waters cold but the sun is hot. Make to bring everyone from grandma to the new born c
