We have visited the Colorado River in Arizona and Nevada. After running through the Grand Canyon, the Colorado reaches Hoover Dam and turns south creating the state line between Arizona and Nevada. There is so much to do in this amazing waterway- whitewater rafting, tubing, just relaxing in a secluded area on a beach. Quite a treasure.

If you go in the summer, Laughlin is hot. The river tends to cool things down a little. You can take a water taxi to the different hotels and casinos for a small fee. You can also rent jet skis on the river. It is a refreshing oasis in that hot desert.

Bit of a late review but we took a 4 day Canyon river holiday as we happened to be in Vegas (as you do). It was my 50th birthday so suitable for all ages and abilities. We flew from Vegas North up to Whitmore (International) airport where they wheeled library steps up to the plane for us to disembark. We... More

It was a cool view, I went on a rafting trip through 12 miles of the Colorado River. It had lots of Goats and sheep, and good views and multiple shores. Surprisingly, parking is very easy to get to.

This section of the Colorado River between Lake Mohave (Davis Dam) and Lake Havasu has something for everyone. I personally have walked the river walk, serene and relaxing. I kayak upriver and down river for exercise weekly. This is some of the clearest waters you will ever boat and/or swim. Don't let its beauty fool you though, it runs a... More

Flowing serenely between Laughlin and Bullhead City, the Colorado doesn't look like the force that carved the Grand Canyon. Davis Dam keeps it all under control. The river walk in Laughlin is very relaxing and catching the sunrise over the river is inspiring.

I always like staying at the Riverside Casino and being in a room facing the east. Looking out at sunrise in the sky and down at the river So Peaceful! Wish I was there now.

River was crystal clear, major current, fun watching ducks. River taxis are efficient and fast. River walk along the river gives up close, personal experience.
