Took my 8 year old grandson for an afternoon-evening of skiing at this little gem of a place. It was only his 3rd time skiing, but first time this season. First of all, I must say that I have skied for 30 years at every resort in NC plus numerous trips out to CO. For what it's worth, I felt... More

Set in a beautiful mountain valley, this is the perfect place for winter fun and adventure. The bunny slope is perfect for beginners with lessons available. The longer slope is about 1700 ft. with a 400 ft. drop in elevation, and the tubing hill is a delight for all. This isn't alpine skiing, but it is a treasure for beginners... More

The Vordach zipline is a great family experience. Dave, Vlad, Gabby & Clair are patient and caring and took their time to make sure we were safe and comfortable. The runs were fun especially the vertical tree walk, that had the aderdiline pumping. We would definitely do this again. The price is reasonable for the time and number of runs... More

My family has been here at least 5 or 6 times. What amazes us, is that the same families are seen year after year and enjoy it as much as we do. We found this place through Girl Scouts. They offer great deals for scout weekends that include: skis, lift ticket, tubing, lessons and lunch. Once my girls learned to... More

My sister and I did a good amount of research of Sapphire Valley Ski Resort, and we were told you cannot book tubing times ahead of time. So, we knew we had to stand in a line upon arrival. We were so excited when we got there, and our families were so optimistic about snow tubing. However, the tubing was... More

During a hunt for snow (we are from Atlanta), we stumbled across this great find. My kids wanted to go tubing and they were not disappointed. We went on President's day, and to my surprise, they had a full staff. I wanted to commend the "tubing guys" for their patience (one of my kids did not want to go down... More

We spent 5 days here over spring break and loved it! The zip line was fun (we were all first-timers). The rec center was great, with everything that you need at your disposal. We did the mining (lots of fun) and played mini golf. The kids spent lots of time in the pool. The waterfalls in the area are stunning.... More

We were visiting in the area over MLK holiday and took the kids to ski, some for the first time. They had a great time and the staff was friendly and the food was good. It's not for experienced skiiers but great for kids. The rental line was long and slow but this was a holiday weekend so it was... More

During the Christmas holidays we were late getting to the snow tubing at the Sapphire Valley Ski Resort. We came as they just started the last run for the day. They very kindly decided to stay late and our family got to go snow tubing on Christmas Eve. We all had a GREAT time! I can't say enough how kind... More

This weekend was our family's first trip to Sapphire Valley. We enjoyed tubing last night and skiing today. Our young children took a ski lesson and had a great day of skiing. My husband and I enjoyed hitting the bigger slope while they were in the lesson. I think this resort is a wonderful place to learn to ski especially... More
