Alsea Falls is a wonderful place to visit if your really enjoy nature, scenery, hiking, fishing, and water falls. There are two falls here and a lot of hiking trails. It is nature at one of its bests because the campground is so small it leaves no room for over crowding. There are campsites close to the river and everyone... More

We love these falls, and were surprised by the changes to the water flow because of falling river-bed rock. That did not change the beauty of the falls, though, and it is still easily accessible. We like that you can walk right out into the cascades, or sit at the base and just enjoy the sounds of the moving water.... More

Highway 34, (also known as the Alsea Highway) between Philomath and Waldport is a classic example of a pleasant country drive. There is never very much traffic and few if any big trucks.
