This appeared to be an older campground. It's very pretty and only accessible after a long 12 or so mile drive off Highway 101,, but loops A and D (only ones open last month) are very different. So beware if you're booking through Reservations America....More

Located on Cape Arago highway just prior to Cape Arago, this is a very popular camping and picnic area. There is camping available at this State Park. The cove makes this a great place to play in the water.

When visiting our family in Charleston, OR we always make a point to visit the state park and coastline. Great trails, sites, animal watching and picnicking. We stayed the state park on one occasion and our site was great. Would stay again.

Stayed here in the middle of summer and spent three days in deep fog. This campground is off on a point away from Coos Bay and more in the ocean area. If the weather is great then this would be a great place to stay...More

We've stayed at Sunset Bay SP twice in the last several years, once tent camping but most recently in our 5th wheel. The park is well maintained, clean and a short walk to the ocean. Lots of spaces for all kinds ... lots ! But...More

Very nice park. Only negative was problems with hot water in showers. Trails were great. Overall a great place to visit.

This was our favourite park - the sites were well apart and nicely treed with lots of bushes.The site we were in had water, electricity and sewer. The park was quiet and within short distances of several "must see" attractions. Simpson's Reef is not to...More

Sorry to take so long, but there are no hotels or inns in Sunset Bay State Park. It is strictly for camping. If you want to stay in the are you either look in Bandon or Coos Bay. Bandon is a cuter town, whereas Coos Bay is... More
