The campsites were clean, large and private, set into a really beautiful landscape. The washrooms/showers were so clean I felt bad tracking in dirt on my sandals. The people who look after the park deserve a lot of credit for keeping it so nice.

My favorite campground by far! Campsites are in the woods and spaced far apart so you aren't having a campfire with your neighbor. Some of the campsites are right on the water, There is a boat ramp and lots of spots for fishing.

This is a beautiful mountainous area covered in lush green forest surrounding a large man-made lake which is held back by a hydro-electric dam. The lake is great for boating, swimming, tubing, fishing, and even bird watching. I recommend Red Bridge Campground on the south-east side of the lake for overnight stays. We've stayed here many times in a lot of the campgrounds both in ny & pa. We used to do the boat access camping but our new favorites are kiasutha & red bridge pa. We visited the Allegheny Reservoir on a cool and rainy weekend in July. We stayed at the Willow Bay Campground at the Northern end of the reservoir.
