One of the most beautiful places in North America. Hiking, swimming, boating, kayaking, climb the waterfalls. There are parts of Jocassee that are in a temperate rain-forest. There are many rivers and waterfalls that are visible around Lake Jocassee. The fall is beautiful and in winter you can see many more waterfalls cascading down the mountains into lake Jocassee. The... More

Lake Jocassee has stunning scenery. You can take a boat tour, kayak, paddleboard, put your own boat in if you get there before they reach their limit, and camp at Devil's Fork campground. The water is clear and beautiful, and there are waterfalls and rocks you can jump off of into the water.

We enjoyed a day on this lake with family and friends. It was a great day. We did a pontoon boat tour with Jocassee Lake tours and had a blast. The lake is very nice. It is clear and seemingly clean. The water is also cool. We saw a number of waterfalls and really had a great day. The lake... More

We got here often to swim there is NO designated area so you swim at your own risk which is actually really nice since the lake is huge and that means PLENTY of room. Places like table rock and paris mtn the lake stays so crowded and the water churned up that its kind of a problem. Here there is... More

If you are looking for a phenomenal lake in the SE this is it. Complete with crystal clear water, waterfalls, great temperatures and plenty of lake space to play around in- look no further. We visited 3 of the waterfalls, rented a pontoon boat, and played in the lake. We have been to 5 different lakes in the last 4... More

We rented a boat for four hours although it was so much fun we wished we had rented the boat for the whole day. There were lots of places to swim, and the water was very clear and also quite warm. Children under 12 were required to were a life jacket, though the boat supplied some for everyone. I would... More

We rented a pontoon boat for four hours, although you can rent it for the entire day. Had lots of fun. Life jackets were supplied on the boat.

This is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. The water was clean and clear. Not many houses on the lake and it was like we had the lake to ourselves. Cannot wait to come back. Already palnning next trip!!!

The lake is clear and clean. Several hidden waterfalls you can get out of a boat and swim around and under. However, the water was up so there were no beaches.

We live about 2 hours away from Lake Jocassee and have several other lakes that are closer but, being TVA lakes, are murkier and have clay and shale shorelines. Lake Jocassee was stunning with beautiful, clear water and sandy, private coves that felt much more like the natural lakes one finds in the northern part of the country. We enjoyed... More
