The area I went through was the eastern side of the park along Highway 44 and taking the wonderful Sheep Creek loop off of highway 44. Went camping over weekend to Whiterocks canyon. Camp'd at the Ashley Nat. Forest campground in this canyon. Was in need of some upkeep. Very pretty remote area. Lots of deer in canyon and a beautiful river.

Our trip through Flaming Gorge was beautiful and our stop at the Red Canyon Visitor Center made it better. The staff was full of useful info and were happy to share. Seeing a small herd of big horned sheep with new lambs was an added bonus. Lots to do in this area.

Beautiful scenery, with gorges, mountains, forest. I loved the remoteness of this area and can't wait to return to explore some more.
