Famous White House. A must see in DC, of course! Currently under a little construction with a crane in your scenic view but non the less something to see! They have the Christmas tree up along with lots of trains running on mini tracks around it! Super cute. As well as trees for all states!

Amazing that it is right in the middle of the city, easily accessible on both sides. However, when we were there they were preparing for the inauguration so access was limited on the Lafayette Park side.

We have been here quite a few time and for some reasons they keep moving the fence farther away, however the views are quite impressive and amazing. Just block the noise of everyone around and you can picture and see the beauty on it self.

We were lucky enough to tour the inside of the White House. Our visit happened after the election so there were construction people setting up the stage for the inauguration. It was very exciting and inspiring to see the inside of the home of where our country's Presidents live. At the end of our tour, we caught a glimpse of... More

Didn't get to see much of it because it was all blocked off to build the inauguration viewing area and bleachers for the Trump Inauguration to take place in a few weeks.

Saw it from further away than past trips but still better than a TV show - seemed appropriate to see it on election day and it is so symbolic - while the world waits to see the future, the white House will remain and always be a symbol.

Felt honoured and humble to see it for real after so many news shots, movies and TV progs. We got as close as you can from the north and south and hit the best pics we could through the trees and fence, not to mention the stand they are building to the north for the January inauguration. Impressive to see... More

When we went, there was construction going on, and it was impossible to come close. The white house is a beautiful building otherwise.

Tours of the White House itself are difficult to get and must be planned ahead. But someone told us that the Visitors Center is worth a stop and they were right. It is well laid out with exhibits showing the various functions of the White House (home, office, public space) as well as the history of the building. Lots of... More
