Who has not heard of Thomas Jefferson? A treat to see at night when light. Inside are his writings and his large statute.

This is the finest monument in DC. It is gorgeous. So well designed and an amazing tribute to Thomas Jefferson, a great patriot and president.

Need to install handrails to the front steps so people can climb the stairs. Also the elevator were not working so unable to see the actual memorial. Liked the gift shop, was able to get a new camera card.

I know Lincoln's memorial gets the most attention as it is right in front of the reflection pool and closer to the other memorials. Jefferson however is one of my favorites and is surrounded by the beautiful tidal basin. I always chuckle a bit at...More

The location alongside the Tidal Basin is fantastic and double so during Cherry Blossom season. However, it’s a bit off the beaten track if you want to walk to it and although I would have made the effort it was freezing cold during our stay...More
