Walking distance from FDR, cross the Potomac bridge. What a breeze inside the memorial. It's flowing beyond on the tidal basin of Potomac river. One of the most important founding fathers as one of the writers and main drafters of the Declaration of Independence. He's...More

I had been to DC previously and walked around the Mall and saw the museums, monuments, etc. but the Jefferson Memorial is slightly out of the way and I never took the time to make my way over there. I decided to make sure and...More

Very grand classic architecture located in a beautiful part of the District, along the river and in the middle of big parks. Bold.

Remarkable monument. We were able to take good photographs. It was a shame that City Sights DC connecting Loop took 2 hours and we were unable to take our time.

The monument is very beautiful and truly appropriate for Thomas Jefferson. The only negative was that the elevator was not working. Access not available for seniors or handicapped.

It's a nice memorial and part of the things to see when in DC. Not as interesting as some of the others but still nice to visit.

Nice view of the other monuments in Washington from the top of the steps on this monument. A nice stop on the hop on buses with a restroom to the left of the steps.

This memorial is a little bit of walk, but we loved it. The tidal basin is really beautiful and it is not nearly as crowded as the Lincoln memorial. There are bathrooms and a gift shop and more info on his life. Worth the walk.

The best shot is probably from along the tidal basin pathway.
