Excellent excellent excellent. There was so much to see and do in there, one could spend an entire day going through all the exhibits. The gem and fossils collection is amazing. The Hope diamond is magnificent. The oceanic exhibit is wonderful. The dinosaurs magnificent. Just go and see it. It simply will not disappoint.

This was extremely interesting and a must see for all ages! Too many exhibits to list, but is worth a wait as it's free to all.

I have been to the museum numerous times over the years and my husband wanted to see the museum.( he's never been). It was a beautiful day - 70 degrees in February . We got to the museum at about 11:30 and there wasn't much of a line. Walked past later at 2:30 and there was a long line so... More

I love the Smithsonian, all their museums are free admission, and beautiful. The museum of natural history is no exception. My favorites are the marine biology room and the Hope Diamond. They also have entertaining Imax shows (extra charge for the Imax, they are affordable).

This is a good stop for those visiting the mall. Security is not fast or efficient but the place is great. It is a long walk but the gem area is great

A must see if doing the Museums in DC. I loved it and was wanting to visit this museum for a long time. My older son and I spent around 3 hours here. From the Oceans to the Gems there is a lot to see and learn about. As you make your way through the different rooms there are plenty... More

I strongly suggest making a priority list before arriving, unless your time there to visit is endless (in which case, I'm extremely envious of you). Our "must see" collections/areas were paleo, human evo, animal/vertebrate zoology, and geology, and we barely made it through them all in a day. The displays were magnificent and accurate, and the building architecture and views... More

We went their to see the Hope Diamond. It was beautiful and not what I expected. We also saw other beautiful pieces of jewelry, precious rocks and other exhibits. Lots to see for all ages. You will not be disappointed. You will be in awe.

Send a few of our wayward reps here and maybe they could learn a thing or two hundred about the ways of the world.
