Make a splash in our Nation’s Capital aboard the DC Ducks, 1942 amphibious transport vehicles used to support and carry troops during World War II. Today they are a great way to see Washington by both land and sea. Winding our way first through the monuments, the Mall, the Capitol and museums of the Smithsonian before splashing into the Potomac and under the flight path at Reagan National Airport. Its fun for all ages!

It is an intersting experience to on road and water at same time. THe guide esplained that the boat-car is over 70 years old and still earning money by giving fun experience to people. I think it is Amazing.

It was fun and educational. Great way to spend the afternoon. You are on land and then in the water. You can see the planes flying overhead. The tour guide is funny and gives you lots of information.

My husband and I took my parents on a duck tour when they came in town for the weekend! It was the perfect end to our day. We had walked all over the city during the day, stopping at a few museums etc. Hopping on...More

We did one of these in Boston some five years ago and it worked well but here in DC it did not. Why? Well the time you spend on water is poor. you go into a marina near the Pentagon and come out near Reagan...More

A fun and unique way to see and learn about the capital city's history and features. We learned some obscure and interesting facts that even we long-time area residents were unaware of. Captain Steve was entertaining and answered lots of questions along the way. The...More

I find the comfort of the amphibious car-boat and the very enthusiastic guides fascinating. I am going on the tour once again with friends, because it is a unique perspective of Washington DC from land and river.

I have not done the Monuments Tour, but I do know that we viewed the few monuments from an angle that you can't see from a car or by foot. The Ducks tour was by far the most fun and enjoyable tour I think I have ever taken... More

The steps are re a little steep but they are closely spaced. There are handrails you can hold onto and the boat captain will help you get on board. I have difficulty climbing steps also and it was pretty easy. There is no... More
