Make a splash in our Nation’s Capital aboard the DC Ducks, 1942 amphibious transport vehicles used to support and carry troops during World War II. Today they are a great way to see Washington by both land and sea. Winding our way first through the monuments, the Mall, the Capitol and museums of the Smithsonian before splashing into the Potomac and under the flight path at Reagan National Airport. Its fun for all ages!

We have just got home from DC and the DC ducks tour was one of our highlights of the trip. The tour of the main sights is fairly standard and in line with other bus tours we did whilst in Washington. Our guide was great with his knowledge and made the experience really fun with his humour. What really sets... More

We went on the Duck Tour with Captain Steve on the Lame Duck (pronounced "Lah-may" so as not to hurt her feelings :) It was a wonderful tour, Captain Steve did a fantastic job making the history interesting and engaging for the kids as well as the adults, and even allowed the kids (and kids at heart) to steer the... We took the DC Duck Tour on a cold and rainy day only because that was our only opportunity to do so. It's a fun thing to do because you see DC from two perspectives - land and sea. The duck departs and returns to Union Station near the Capitol Building. The tour guide points out points of interest along... More

You may not see any different sights whilst taking this tour but its a combination of great experiences: Being driven in a genuine WWII era vehicle Swapping seamlessly between land and sea Great, genuine humour from the 'Captain': Steve in our case It will appeal to your inner child and you'll have a whale of a time. (And if your... More

My 12 year old was a little old for it but tolerated it well. Make sure you are there on time, they will leave without you. The guide was good, the tour dragged a bit for me but I'd still recommend it for kids under 8. It's a fun way to see DC.

Our Hotel concierge suggested and even discouraged our for adults to take this tour. Instead, we went direct online and saved money! No disappointment in this tour. It was very informative about the sites around Washington DC. Launching into the water was OK – – as we were able to view more land sites from the river. This was fun... More

We are in DC for 2 days and thought what better way to see the city than on land and water! This was a fantastic tour led by a very knowledgeable captain (I can't for the life of me remember his name, Phil maybe). He took us round all the sights of the city and onto the Potomac river near... More

Captain Bill took our boat on a wonderful tour of DC. He had great stories to tell, and pointed out facts about the city I had never heard before. The boat was clean, and the route had very informative sites to see.
