A wonderful sight that should be taken in as a wonderful walk from capitol to Washington memorial. Not open at the moment, but well worth the walk

We were unable to do anything but stare at the outside and take pictures as it was closed and apparently has been for some time and will be for some time to come.

Took the Mall tour given by Free Tours by Foot. Best way to learn about this unusual memorial and learn about it and the history behind it all.

Tall statue...can see from many locations. Its starkness and height ...is impressive. Lots of walking uphill (near monument) to get to this monument. Distance from Constitution Avenue/Street (?) parking on road can be shorter. Since so many monuments here...wear comfortable shoes. Saw tourists on bicycles...More

Thank Kevin K

Typically cancellations are done at the Visitor Centrex or at the Park Rangers Office. I have seen it being done at Visitor Centrex in some places though I have not done it .
