Great place to take a walk (dogs allowed) or drive and take in the thousands of tree species they have, it is all laid out extremely well with lots of car parks dotted around the site. Kids can run around exploring too.

This is a great place to go in any season. The bonzai exhibits are open year round but they close at 4.

I'm a DC native, so it's the Arb to me. It's a great place, but hard to navigate. You can just drive around until you find something that you'd like to investigate. If you're on foot, plan on a good hike which is eminently worthwhile....More

You can walk from the entrance but you can also drive around by car (we needed to drive there last year as we had over 102 F and sun...too hot to walk). There are "internal streets" within the Arboretum. You will see the... More
