The Shakespearean collection at the Folger Library the worlds largest is only open to the more qualified researcher, but theres still plenty to see, like gardens, Renaissance art and an Elizabethan theater.

The staff here was incredibly rude when I visited. No hello and acted like visitors were a huge inconvenience. I was surprised that there was nothing here to see. I would not visit unless your seeing a play or event.

1st visit to The Folger. Went to the theatre only, didn't have a chance to see the library (next time). The stage is small and intimate. A bit dark but reminiscent of Shakespeare's so that was fine. We had balcony seats which were quite good....More

For any one who loves, Shakespeare this is a must see, especially on the bard's birthday, April 23. The a guide tour is a must and are very well done.
