This is such a great place in DC and highly underrated/ under visited. They have free shows EVERYDAY at 6pm. In addition, the bars that are outside the Millenium stages have Happy Hour with 3.50 beers and 5 dollar wines between 5-6pm. So, it is...More

I had no idea that there are free concerts here every single day. We attended a concert on a Sunday night and there was no problem getting a seat. A nice thing to do with your family without breaking the bank- plus you can also...More

The Kennedy Center Concert Hall was a great venue for Tracy Morgan. We had wonderful box seat, with a great view of the stage. Not a big fan of Tracy Morgan. He is a little too off color for me but the warm-up acts were...More

Note: This review is just for the venue, not the performance. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is the biggest venues to host many first class performances. It is also open for public to walk around to see different halls, buy gifts,...More

I visited the Kennedy Center for a tour with a docent. If you go, plan to take the guided tour instead of just walking around yourself. It is free and the tour guides can get you into see places you can’t see on your own....More

This is a real gem in Washington. Suggest you make time during your visit to at least visit the location, maybe take a tour, but definitely at least stay for the free Concert held every night on the Millenium Stage; 365 days a year, a...More

Our local congressman’s office arranged this tour for us. It was very interesting, but we did not last for the entire two hours. We ended up as part of a large school group, so the tour was moving fairly slow. ** TIP - A shuttle...More

If you have a chance to see a show at the Kennedy Center - do it. Give yourself plenty of time to tour the halls, visit the iconic sculpture of Kennedy and enjoy the gorgeous terrace. If at all possible, plan your visit so you...More

We did not see a show here. Instead, we had arranged a tour of the Kennedy Center. The docent was nice enough, but quite wordy. Clearly he loved to talk about the Kennedy Center, but we felt that he spent about 200% more time than...More

A beautiful theatre with free concerts. Who knew? If in Washington, add this to your list of things to do.

Tours average about an hour, but can vary depending on the tour guide and how many questions the group has. Tours start approximately every 10 minutes during scheduled hours. If visiting on a weekend, remember tour hours end... More

People wear everything to the Kennedy Center. My preference is the little black dress, but you will see long dresses and slacks as well. Metro is safe (depending on your stop) but as previous commenter wrote, be aware of... More

We often go to Circa in Foggy Bottom. The free bus to the Kennedy Center is right across the street. We also take the bus back to the same location to get a taxi home since the Center is so mobbed after the show.
