Overview
More
The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government.

Wow!! what great architecture. This massive structure is a must see when visiting DC. How our fore-parents were able to construct such an expanse of beautiful structure is unimaginable.

Beautiful building, unfortunately the day we visited the president was there and was a lot of policeman. The architecture and white color are fantastic.

Visited with a large school group. Booked tour through our congressman. Guided tour with free headphones. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. From the Visitor Center we went to the Library of Congress. Great exhibits and historical memorabilia.
