Nice, calming stop to the busy washington dc scene. It offers various plant exhibits. Not too humid so even if you go there at noon it is bearable.

Even at this time of year there is plenty to see. Not as crowded as some other places around the mall. Be prepared for humidity in the conservatory for the tropics and orchids areas.

Spent a few hours there, very relaxing, informative, fun. Lots of variety, different rooms for each climate, nice outdoor gardens plus beautiful conservatory inside.

This is an amazing place with all of the very finest specimens of plants and flowers. It can be viewed in under an hour so it is a good thing to add to a full day of touring.

Beautiful yet small botanical garden on the footsteps of the Capitol Building. A great way to relax in the middle of Washington.

The conservatory is the best part of the garden, but don't discount the outdoor gardens.  Bring a lunch and enjoy some of the outdoor seating in the garden. Overall time here, plan between 1.5 to 2.5 hrs here.  Just a short walk from the Capitol...More

Well designed exhibits, from an educational point of view. There was an especially interesting one about plants medicinal qualities. The Corpse flower was the highlight of the visit however.

If there is no line to get in, 1 1/2-2 hours is plenty.
