How come it costs $0 to visit the greats of Smithsonian and $23 to visit 3 small rooms of tat at the National Geographic museum? I doesn't even educate, it could be much more and more inspiring to our young people, but it needs to...More

We live in dc so have been often. Nat Geo is now an always fee museum with rotating exhibits. This time very interesting shark exhibit on one side and a multi-site interactive exhibit on the other side covering every way to "explore" including interactive hot...More

A great place to visit. The working of the photographers and their pursuit for knowledge and understanding is very informative. The shop is also nice. We bought a hat here.

With the reputation for excellence we've come to expect, I must say we were extremely disappointed! The museum lacks quality displays, things to do and is a waste of time and money. We traveled 3 hours to DC to see the shark exposition. DON'T WASTE...More

We visited as part of the GO DC City Pass and I wasn't really impressed with this exhibits. I liked the sharks' photos, but the explorer's one at least had a little more interesting information. I'm not sure if these exhibits were geared more for...More

Some reviews note the museum is small. It is. But that's what we wanted, and then it delivered a nice experience. Exhibits have enough details so you learn something, but they do not overwhelm you with data. If you want a more comprehensive experience, then...More

For the museum -look up what the National Geographic is showing - they sometimes have amazing displays of the Chinese warriors, the Greeks, etc. But the cafeteria is always great - like a food court, but with quality local sourced food, much of which is...More

Don't want to waste more time than it's worth, the title says it all. Even with free admission it's hard to justify spending the time here....

I was thinking that National Geographic is awesome, so surely they had a really great museum. Unfortunately we hit it at a bad time. Apparently one of the exhibits was being redone, and they totally warned us that we would just get the other side...More

You will have a difficult time parking (there's none on site, as it's situated in a busy downtown area & not some suburban campus with ample space for parking). You're better much off walking from your hotel or taking a... More

I brought a Jansport backpack with me & didn't have any issues, save for how crowded the place is, especially now during the AMAZING Indiana Jones exhibition. If you luck out & manage to go when it's an off-peak time, maybe... More
