No travel book, no Google web site, no other tour could ever give you the inside knowledge of Washington D C more than we learned on Tim's sensational tour. This man's passion captivated all of us on this walk. With knowledge and humour we were enraptured from beggining to end. A word of warning though when you see two times... More

Fantastic tour and guide. His knowledge and ability to present the details in such an interesting way left no disappointments. We traveled with a grandmother and a 10 year old. Both enjoyed the tour. The tour is 4- 5 hours and you will be tired at the end but so worth it. I would rather leave a tour tired and... More

I took the walking tour of the major DC monuments with Tim last weekend. The tour lasted for 5 hours and it was rather windy and cold. But frankly, it was the best 5 hours of my 4 day trip to DC. The tour guide, Tim, is very affable and has immense knowledge of the monuments. Best of all, he... More

I had read glowing reviews of Tim Stewart of Walk of the Town DC so I wanted to see for myself. My husband and I arrived at the designated area to see the familiar hat adorning Tim. A very affable gentleman who was all smiles and welcoming to the strangers who had gathered. I am a native virginian so Tim... More

I originally had booked a Bus Tour, but after seeing the raving reviews for Tim's tour, I figured I could use the exercise and see what all the excitement was about. Upon meeting Tim and the other members in the group, it was apparent how much fun this tour was going to be. Let me say this isn't for those... More

We are so glad we found Tim online prior our visit to DC and got on board with this fabulous, informative, enjoyable walking tour! Tim has a wealth of knowledge to share. His enthusiasm for Washington DC history shines through and makes for a great four hour tour. As much as we enjoyed our own walk of the Tidal Basin... More

We have recently returned to the UK from a visit to Washington. The city was a revelation, particularly on a beautiful autumnal day. Our five hour walking tour with Tim was the 'icing on the cake'. His detailed knowledge and humour made the hours 'fly by' and we left with a feeling that we really did understand, at least in... More

Came across Walk of the Town having done a lot of prior research. Tim Stewart gave us an excellent tour! Outstanding! Nothing was too much trouble for Tim to explain and he didn't rush us through the tour.. He was so engaging and informative. Would highly recommend this tour. Superb!

Tim was a great guide - fun and knowledgeable. He made the four hours go quickly and showed us all the main monuments as well as gave us some tips for our stay. We spent a reasonable amount of time at each, so much so that I didn't need to go back over any of those while in Washington. I... More

This was our first trip to Washington and we spent our first morning with Tim - his tour was fantastic - he took us around the White House and several of the memorials and he shared stories and anecdotes that brought the city to live. I'm not a huge history buff but he made it so much fun and the... More
