A good chance to get a virtual tour of the white house and see how each president lived their daily lives.

This is a small spot to get some inside info on the white house without taking a tour. There are some artifacts and historical info as well souvenirs and brochures to take away. Its worth a look if you are in town.

Don't let the size fool you! This is right across the street from the White House grounds. This was a lovely place to visit. You get to see a lot of WHite House history. You can also get cool gifts, a close up photo of the White House, and access restrooms.

I visited this place while in DC the last week of February in 2017. It is ran by the National Park Service. At that time, they were not giving tours of the White House until March 7th. I was told this was because of the change in administration. It has lots of photos and exhibits. It does have some presidential... More

I was amazed that there were not many souvenir shops in DC, but found this one and it offered everything you could possibly want. It has a little bit of everything and some. Everything you need to bring friends and family something from DC and it's right in the middle of everything.

We found the White House Visitors Center to be quite impressive. A model of the White House sits in the center of the floor once you enter the visitors center, which is a very cool depiction of how impressive it is. The center also features memorabilia from former presidents, offering a personal glimpse into their tastes, interests and lives during... More

I went here after my tour of the White House. It had an excellent film about the house with prospectives from different presidents and first laddies. It has a bunch of cool historical artifacts from the White. Then it has a nice gift shop where it has all the official White House ornaments! Would recommend going before or after the... More

This visitors center is a good substitute for the majority of people visiting DC as White House tours are hard to come by. There are multiple artifacts from different presidents (recent and not-so-recent). My young daughter's favorite was trying to get the presidents' favorite food. One liked squirrel soup! The short film on life in the White House was worth... More

This was a nice display of the White House a history of whose lives there and some of the makeovers that of happened there. Difficult to take a White House tour you have to get a pass from your congressman. There weren't even any tours being done at the time we went. This was a nice substitute
