Arriving in the City early afternoon on a Saturday, we were looking to pop into a visitor centre for some maps and guide books. We discovered that the only centre open on Saturday pm was this one and strolled down to learn that it only...More

Nice way to see the inside of the White House. Good variety. Beautiful ceilings lots of history. Was disappointed in some of the displays not working and bathrooms run down. Short stop.

Could not get an inside tour of the White House for the dates of my travel because I realized too late you need to make those requests in advance. Decided to go to the Visitors Center instead and was pleasantly surprised. A lot of information...More

What a fantastic visitor’s centre, one of the best I’ve been to! There’s multiple exhibits detailing different aspects of the White House and presidents’ history as well as lots of artefacts. It’s completely free, you just need to go through airport style security to get...More

Interesting look into what life has been like for former occupants of the White House. Lots of exhibits, but my favourite was the video which included informal interviews with past presidents and First Ladies. Only catch is: the visitor centre is not at the White...More

I enjoyed the exhibits they had at this centre. There were a few interactive displays that were fun and a really great gift shop and easy access to restrooms. The White House isn't far from this attraction either. Highly recommended.

Hello, The answer is no. If you are looking into having nice pictures with the Oval Desk, you could do it at the wax museum, as we did, but for which you would need to pay an entry fee. They do professional photo sessions... More

Definitely NOT allowed to bring ANY food or drink inside. We had to pour out our water and toss any snacks that we had in our bags.
