Dropped in for a beer. The bar is in the corner of the Willard Hotel. If these walls could talk... Glenn the bartender is a close second. 29 years as the bartender, I'm sure he has some stories! Like the tittle says I only had...More

Round Robin bar is a cozy, wood paneled piece of national history. From the presidentially named cocktails to the back passage access through the Willard's lobby it exudes high expectations. The $15 mint julep, introduced to DC by Henry Clay as the menu describes and...More

Walking into the Willard Hotel alone is an experience onto itself, the lobby and hallway echoes old world opulence. I was there for a Center for a New American Security event, arriving early decided to visit the Round Robin Bar. The classic, clubby spot oozes...More

We stopped for drinks while staying at The Willard. The service is fabulous! Attentive and friendly! We ordered a few drinks and a few small plates. The flavors were all good and the drinks strong. Nice little stop!

Absolute must to stop by for a drink and check out the decor. Bartenders are more than happy to share history and legends. If you like history, walk down Peacock Alley on your way out and check out their display (almost all the way at...More

We were travelling here from NYC and wanted to check out Round Robin for history and cocktails. The history, atmosphere and service were great but the cocktails really let the place down. We run a cocktail bar so our standards are high but if you...More

The architecture is gorgeous including ornamental hand carved wood and marble pillars. It's a great environment for an afternoon cocktail and the mint julep is splendid.

... Or some bourbon if you'd rather. Known for its mint julep since the days of Henry Clay and where luminaries have gathered, today the spot still has a nice ambience, is conversational with the round bar area and some table seating along the windows....More
