Parade was nice, but very long. My husband is a retired Msgt. You would think they wouldn't put him in the bleachers with about 80 school kids. Not the treatment a retiree should be given....

I highly recommend this on a Friday evening while visiting Washington DC. You need to go online and place a reservation even though there's no cost! The Marines are active and so well trained; it's a must see!

Air Force vet here, but the Friday evening parade is a must for anyone. The precision is amazing in all aspects, well choreographed, fabulous music by a portion of the Marine Band and the separate Drum and Bugle Corps, etc., etc. Makes one very proud!
