So, we go to Arena for the drama, anf the theaters are wonderful: clear sightlines from every seat, GREAT acoustics, comfortable seats, fine and helpful staff. But the eateries and hallways are disastrous (my opinion): cold, sterile, hard surfaces, empty breezeways...generally incommensurate with the fundamental...More

The arena stage has been a destination for experiencing the "new" and serious in washington theater for decades. Usually engaging if not always adventurous. Occasionally preachy. Many familiar theater names and plays have come out of here. It may seem a little stodgy with age...More

Arena Stage is located near the DC waterfront. The Waterfront Metro stop is two blocks away. We saw the Originalist which was a wonderful show. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

We wish we could write a more positive review of this local D.C. theater, because it is a beautiful facility. But every time we return for another production, we find that the theater's Director, Molly Smith, has chosen an even more pretentious piece that we...More

We had seasons tickets this year and really enjoyed the shows. Some resonated better than others but the casts and productions were consistently superb. We had mid-week tickets that worked out well. The Metro Green line Waterfront station is close by and there is garage...More

My husband and I saw the play "Smart People" and it was a very funny and thought-provoking play! I really like the layout of Arena Stage from the multiple theaters, open spaces, LOTS of womens' restrooms, sleek and clean architecture. I think its one of...More

We've seen two plays at Arena Stage, and really loved it. It is easy to get to, and the venue for both events was excellent, not a bad seat in the house. We saw Roe and was easily one of the best plays we have...More

We attended the play Roe on our first visit to the stage featured an outstanding play on a very relevant topic. But most of all the venue shined in its presentation. Comfort, acoustics, lighting, and the care of the staff were all 1st rate. Enjoy...More

If you are a visitor to DC or a local resident, you will never go wrong spending the day or evening at a play in Arena Stage. This venue houses smaller stages under one roof. Each theatre is constructed to offer a unobstructed view of...More

Areana Stage has parking under the building. Unfortunately, when I was there, you couldn't get in the garage more than an hour before the performance. Parking was $12. We went early so that we could have a lite lunch and... More
