In recent months we have seen The Pajama Game, Native Gardens, and The Price, each one in a different theater at the center. All of these plays were just fantastic. In past seasons we have seen many productions, and haven't been disappointed once. This is...More

We had the pre dinner meal and for $25 it was a bargain but the drink prices were excessive. The theatre was in the round so there wasn’t a bad seat. The show was great - even my sports mad husband was happy.

Excellent mid-size theater with a diverse, non-main stream show selection. Several different size theaters, one 360 degree theater with the characters entering and exiting to/from the center, which is a different experience. Refreshments available from a central stand - standard theater fare, wine, beer, snacks....More

The Arena Stage is a hidden gem in DC. I have been several times and always have a good time. The quality of production is very good and every seat in the house is good. Looking forward to a return visit.

So, we go to Arena for the drama, anf the theaters are wonderful: clear sightlines from every seat, GREAT acoustics, comfortable seats, fine and helpful staff. But the eateries and hallways are disastrous (my opinion): cold, sterile, hard surfaces, empty breezeways...generally incommensurate with the fundamental...More

The arena stage has been a destination for experiencing the "new" and serious in washington theater for decades. Usually engaging if not always adventurous. Occasionally preachy. Many familiar theater names and plays have come out of here. It may seem a little stodgy with age...More
