If you have interest in military weapons from WW1 and WW2 you'll love this place. The weapons are from all around the world also. We took our kids here and they loved it. (ages 8, 11, and 15) The Pearl Harbor exhibit was very moving, they have a piece of the USS Arizona on display. All in all we had... More

This is a great museum. There are weapons displayed in this museum that you have never heard of as well as very rare examples weapons you may have heard about. The art works will stun you. Definitely a must see. The collection is so large that you need to revisit about every nine months.

I love their WWII collection, as well as their gun collection. there are so many things to look at and learn about in this museum its hard to believe that there is so much tucked into such a small place. The Asian exhibits are also a must see. If youre in town and looking for something to do, this sure... More

We decided to visit this museum after a visit to the Natural History museum since it is just next door. You can purchase admission for both at a discount. There is a large and varied collection of guns and other weapons on display. Some are several hundred years old while others are from participants in World War I and World... More

Right next door to the Anniston Natural history museum. Once we finished at the for mentioned I was told by the staff that we might like the museum next door. Did I ever!!! Lots of military history. Guns from numerous eras and artifacts to match. Small kids will be bored especially most girls. But if you are into Military history... More

I've been here 3 times, each time with family visiting from out of town. They have all loved this place. The weapon collection is awesome but there are old west Remington sculptures and Asian treasures on the 2nd floor. You have to visit this place.

We visited this museum and the Natural History museum on the same day. This is primarily a museum for men! The guns, mortars, and other weaponry get your adrenaline going, but the Asian collection appears to be little more than an afterthought. If I may humbly suggest: 1. Make it an all weaponry/war-related museum. 2. Upgrade the presentation quality to... More

The collection was started by a couple who both worked for US intelligence. They traveled extensively and collected art objects and small arms from around the world. There is a large number of bronzes by many artists, including Remington and Russell. Small arms included guns from the matchlock era through flintlock, percussion, and modern guns. The group we were with... More

There is alot of history to see here, and its right next door to the Anniston Museum of Natural History, so make a day if it and see natural history and mans legacy/impact on the world at both museums.

This was an outstanding museum. Well worth the trip. Very broad display of artifacts, particularly weaponry. Amazing such a collection exists in the area. Allow about two hours to see everything and have a chance to read enough about what is on display to get an appreciation for the scope of the collection.
