Park has bike dirt riding trails that can be used for walking. No paved trails. There is small lake that is quite pretty. It does have swimming area but seemed to be too dirty for swimming. On the backside of lake there is man-made waterfall that is quite pretty but requires going down steep slope to get to. It is... More

This is a great park for all ages. It only cost $4 per person and we spent hours climbing on the rocks and taking pictures by the falls. It also has great trails for running, biking or walking. There is plenty to do.

Such a beautiful place. Good place to take pictures and great for hiking or running. We took our young children and they loved it. Loved touching the water and taking several pictures.

I went for a hike around the lake. It took me about an hour. The trails are every easy to recognize, and you won't get lost there since the park is not too big. It has a dam that turns into a waterfall. It is very nice to hang out around the waterfall. I saw may people use their hammock... More

Just a few minutes outside of Auburn, AL - Chewacla is a park with multiple trails suitable for hiking and biking. We hiked to the waterfalls, and found lots of great photo opportunities there, plus areas along the river to get our feet wet.

I lived in Auburn for 4 years and visited Chewacla many times. I love the river and the short hikes to the waterfall. There are lakes on the upper level for swimming, though I enjoyed the waterfall the most. I would hike down and study there. On a hot day, it's perfect. On the weekends, it can be very crowded.... Chewacla is well work a visit when in The Plains. It is a relatively rustic park yet has excellent picnic spots, waterfall view, and short hiking trails. Restrooms are readily available, clean, and well stocked.
