We loved this trail! Gets your heart rate up hiking the steep parts, offers amazing views of the Superstitions, and benches tucked in just the right places to rest and enjoy the scenery along the way.

Several short hikes ranging from level botanical interpretive stroll, to steep scrambles up several peaks. Wear decent boots. Sneakers aren't suitable for the sharp rocks and break-down.

The hike is 2.4 miles and is moderate, on the trail you can see very nice wild flowers and great views of Gold Canyon and Superstition Mountains.

There are several hikes with something for every level of stamina. There is a botanical garden to stroll thru and a vigorous hike straight up the mountain. The only downside is the lack of restroom facilities. Not even a portable toilet. That can be distressing...More

It has been a month or so since I've been there but I would say yes, I usually did the harder part of the hike first (not really that bad, but it is the steepest), and then once you go up over the top you will go to the... More
